Lake Bosumtwe is a sacred natural crater lake, located about 30km Southeast of Kumasi in Ghana’s Ashanti region. The lake is considered one of the most spiritually significant places in the Ashanti region. It is considered sacred by the Ashanti people, because it is believed to be a resting place for souls before they pass into the afterlife.
Surrounded by lush hills and 22 small villages, it offers opportunities for canoe rides, hiking, cultural village tours, and peaceful reflection.
