Red Clay Studio is an expansive, community focused Art Campus just outside Tamale. Enjoy guided visits that will offer you insightful walkthroughs, explanation of the artworks, recycled and repurposed materials, and a first-hand experience of the social impact of the space. Ibrahim Mahama, The globally renowned artist and visionary behind Red Clay Studio is a 38-year-old pioneering Ghanaian artist born and educated in Tamale in the Northern region of Ghana. Mahama uses art to reflect on histories of trade, colonialism and labor. He is also focused directly on building institutions that empower his local communities.
