The Assin manso slave River,also known as the “ Last Bath” river is a historical site, in the Central region of Ghana,It was a final stop for enslaved Africans, who were captured inland, and marched to the Coast for shipment across the Atlantic. At this river, they were bathed, rested, and inspected before continuing to dungeons in Cape Coast and Elmina Castles.Today the site serves as a powerful symbol of remembrance,healing and reflection.Visitors will be able to walk barefoot along the riverbank, to the spot where the captives were washed.,write their names on the Memorial wall of return, and visit an Ancestral graveyard.
